It’s the world’s best-selling publication, yet one that few people have actually read cover to cover for themselves. After decades of study, reverence, and occasionally wrestling with the scriptures, I have written TL;DR – The Best and Worst of the Bible.

If the Bible is largely new to you, TL;DR gives you a concise working knowledge of its story, structure, major ideas, and some of the passages that have shaped Western religion and culture.

If you already know and revere the Bible, this book invites you to spend some time with a familiar text, considering its contents alongside me. Read the passages I have chosen for The Best and The Worst, consider why I included them, and decide whether you agree with my selections.

You may not. In fact, I expect some readers will strongly disagree with the very idea that any part of the Bible belongs under the heading The Worst. That disagreement is welcome. I only ask that you read what I have presented before deciding what you think of it.

And when you have read my brief, free, and illustrated work, I want to hear from you. Comment below where you think I got it wrong, what I overlooked, what you would have included, or what you believe deserves a different reading.

Everyone is welcome, and disagreement is welcome too. Comments will only be removed if they are off topic or promotional.
